NOW OPEN - MAY TO DECEMBER 2010 After enjoying the sights and smells of the lavender garden, why not join us in The Garden Room? Snacks and light lunches My husband's hard work to complete a beautiful new extension onto the existing Garden Room paid off, and the light lunches we served last year proved very popular. To his relief, the winter months didn't involve any building work. Sadly, the new verandah he had hoped to build has been put in the diary for Spring 2012. As some of my regular customers were more than happy to wriggle their toes in between the grass last summer, they will be very pleased to know they can do in all again during the warmer days of 2011. Every year, we try to take on board what our customers would like us to offer, and felt that now the business was becoming more established, we thought it was time to offer a few savory nibbles to compliment our existing menu. We pride ourselves on being able to have something for everyone, and our menu does include a few alternatives for those who have a gluten free diet. Of course, there will still be a selection of our wonderful homemade cakes with a new "Cake of the Week" for all those die hard cake fans!! Our own blend of Lavender Tea has been very popular......so much so, we sold out last year and are waiting for the lavender to flower for a new batch to be made for this year. Not sure whether it is bad organization (definitely) or it just became very popular and caught us by surprise. It has been especially blended with Miss Katherine, which is a pink lavender grown in the garden and an Earl Grey loose tea. Not only can you sample the tea with your cakes, but we will hopefully have packs you can purchase too. Surrounding the Tea Room we have a selection of gifts. Some home-made, others carefully chosen, and when we can, offerings from "kitchen" businesses. Always a variety of little keepsakes that don't cost the earth to remind you of your day with us.
